Poetry

A forgotten madness, gruesome and old.
A forgotten place, tainted and sold.
Such a beautiful sight to uphold,
Yet no one remains so bold,
As did those who once trailed the lands,
Or tamed the sky.
To woe. Too woe. Is said,
When men at home doth break bread.
And reminisce on times past since,
When a madness, tainted and bold,
Left the lands and sky,
Beautiful, gruesome and old. – Andrew R. McKinley 10AUG2020
